"they did it first!" is not an acceptable excuse for a 6 year old, much less a Blue Blood college football program.Zip it Tennessee canceled on us in 2016-2017 in the first place.
Only not acceptable to yours truly right.."they did it first!" is not an acceptable excuse for a 6 year old, much less a Blue Blood college football program.
soft, soft, soft
2 MAC teams and an FCS school. what a reward for loyal season ticket holders
we aren't them. f*ck them.Only not acceptable to yours truly right..
As I recall Michigan or Ohio State got out of a series recently too.
Nor sure which one it was.
of course it's us who want to cancel

"we want 8 home games!"With the CFB field expanded now there is less than zero reasons to do this...it makes us look like giant dripping wet stinky pussies.
we haven't played 8 home games since 2013Anyone else see the irony in using money as an excuse in the current climate we live in, where all i hear about is how oligarchy everything is and how evil it is because of...wait for it...money?
I don't mind this one bit, our BIG schedule is tough enough already and besides we aren't ready for Tennessee as it stands right now. I already knew there would be an outcry of some so-called fans once this series was cancelled, it was just something else to bitch about.
That’s just it by then B1G and SEC will each have 4 guaranteed playoff spots. Opening up SEC to play 9 conference games and allowing crossover games. Weak sauce by canceling.Indiana makes the playoff with an OOC schedule of FIU, Western Illinois and Charlotte, and you guys still want to play Tennessee? Dumb.

Kirk Ferentz also aprroves since he has mastered this for 25-30 years.Bill Synder approves. Those old enough to remember his purple kitties non-con scheduling in the 90s will understand
deal with it. People been saying for a couple of years we won’t be seeing many of these types of series anymore.soft, soft, soft

That would be a nice trip for me and Knoxville is a great college town. However, they have a stadium revenue number they want to hit for budgetary needs.😡
Been wanting to go to Knoxville to watch them play since Tennessee canceled the series in 2016-2017.
Why would they push back renovations what does that accomplish? Be real about itRather push the stadium renovations back a year or two and play a real program than sacrifice the one good noncon game for a glorified practice (that you can still lose).
You will see series like this when conferences make agreements for crossover play. I'm assuming the games will be tiered according the competitive level. NU v. Fla/TN/Kentucky, maybe some day NU vs. Bama/Georgia.deal with it. People been saying for a couple of years we won’t be seeing many of these types of series anymore.
Acting like Nebraska is the only team moving away from P4 opponents in the non-con is clueless. No coach in the country wants to play a top 25 non-con opponent week 3 of the season. They all want to do away with conf title games too. It sucks because of course fans want to see these games.deal with it. People been saying for a couple of years we won’t be seeing many of these types of series anymore.
of course we willdeal with it. People been saying for a couple of years we won’t be seeing many of these types of series anymore.
If that's true then this whole debate is pointless. We're not skirting anything that wasn't going to get changed anyway. Two years from now is impossible to predict with the way college football is changing minute-by-minute.That’s just it by then B1G and SEC will each have 4 guaranteed playoff spots. Opening up SEC to play 9 conference games and allowing crossover games. Weak sauce by canceling.
Spring game was a head coaching decision has no bearing on non conference series ."we want 8 home games!"
"the spring game is canceled!"
can't have it both ways, cowards.
