Yea I get it you hate power football, timely play action passes and winsonly for the end of line one.
This team was pretty much the equal of every team in the West talent-wise. The problem is when you are equals the little things matter the most. Iowa won because it screwed up the least (turnovers and penalties). Nebraska killed itself with turnovers.More than anything, the team needs an infusion of top-end talent - and that will indeed take time.
But in the meantime, mind-numbingly stupid decisions that piss away games are hard to take.
No, it really does not take ANY time, at all. $2M last offseason and we’re a 7-8 win team. Period. We could spend 10x that without blinking THIS offseason. Money is every bit and more important than coaching. Although our ‘Coaching’ was a little exposed a few times this season.More than anything, the team needs an infusion of top-end talent - and that will indeed take time.

This ideology makes me want to stop watching CFB as much as watching The Huskers every weekNo, it really does not take ANY time, at all. $2M last offseason and we’re a 7-8 win team. Period. But it's reality. I don't like how extreme NiL is and it essentially being free agency. This ideology makes me want to stop watching CFB as much as watching The Huskers every week
Did they though? Or, they just happened to capitalize on turnovers, where when given the chance, we didn’t..This team was pretty much the equal of every team in the West talent-wise. And YOU are a caricature of why we’re a losing program. To be VERY CLEAR… the reality of having to pay players makes me sick too. I wish it were still the 90’s and kids just Wanted to Play Here. That’s done and gone. Even for in-state players. This ideology makes me want to stop watching CFB as much as watching The Huskers every week
You guys will things into being by buying in. You do it all the time. "THATS JUST THE WAY THINGS ARE" at the top of your lungs. Maybe they shouldn't be.And YOU are a caricature of why we’re a losing program. To be VERY CLEAR… the reality of having to pay players makes me sick too. We’ve lost WAY more than our fair share of 1-score losses. As in that record for heartbreak will probably never be equalled. Luck has played some role, but at least for the last several years we have no one other than ourselves to blame. It’s our FANBASE that’s the primary problem here. We need to CHANGE if we’re ever gonna be competitive again.
Even if the NIL machine was much better, I still think it takes time to build a championship roster. Unfortunately climbing that hill gets even harder when NU keeps pissing away very winnable games. No, it really does not take ANY time, at all. $2M last offseason and we’re a 7-8 win team. Period. Kong…love your enthusiasm for HH, but the reality is we don’t have a quality D1 QB on this roster. We have three guys who are not true “starters”. Need a significant upgrade2 QBs to compete with HH for the starting job

Bad investment, then. There’s risk, sure. Some won’t pan out. It’s like investing in Gold… you won’t necessarily lose, but you’re not gonna be wealthy either. We’re too conservative. And with MY money, I’m as conservative as they come. It’s DIFFERENT in college football… you invest with a degree of RISK, or get f*cking buried and look like we do currently. Haven’t you seen enough? You guys will things into being by buying in. You do it all the time. "THATS JUST THE WAY THINGS ARE" at the top of your lungs. Maybe they shouldn't be.
Participating in it and selling it is typical garbage human thinking these days.
Jesus, the media has you guys bad.
So we pay to bring in a QB, give him yuuuuge money. And what happens when HE sucks?
Repeating your bad take over and over doesn’t make it right. Who is outspending Nebraska on this year’s schedule? No, it really does not take ANY time, at all. $2M last offseason and we’re a 7-8 win team. Period. We need to invest Money, just like EVERY OTHER SUCCESSFUL TEAM CURRENTLY DOES. It’s really, really that simple. IT DOES NOT take a winning record to do that.Even if the NIL machine was much better, I still think it takes time to build a championship roster. Unfortunately climbing that hill gets even harder when NU keeps pissing away very winnable games.
So I’m not upset that Nebraska isn’t in the same league with OSU or Michigan or even Penn State. But I get tired of professional ass kissers going on and on about how everything is fine and people should take losses to mediocre teams in stride. Same shit was spewed during the Frost era, and nothing ever changed.
More made up narratives from kong.Yea I get it you hate power football, timely play action passes and wins
You’re not alone, dumbf* k
Actually it may have been my fault, I vaguely recall that during the 1997 Mizzou game I prayed that if we pulled it off and won the title that year I would ever have to win anything ever again…Convinced TO sold his soul around 91 and since we all bought in, we're now in football hell.

We’ve lost what, 5 games by one score this year, again? There’ll be close games. My POINT is that a paid QB, some paid O-line and an elite WR or two makes us a bowl team with some noise to make. We passed.Repeating your bad take over and over doesn’t make it right. Who is outspending Nebraska on this year’s schedule?

Then why is A&M in the spot they are in?We need to invest Money, just like EVERY OTHER SUCCESSFUL TEAM CURRENTLY DOES. It’s really, really that simple. IT DOES NOT take a winning record to do that.
I’d like to KEEP this entire staff because I think they’re actually an improvement over what we’ve had. I want for them to be given some actual talent to work with and see what they can do. Want Dylan to come play where he was born to play. Want what every other person on this board wants. Am just comparing what successful programs are doing vs what we’re NOT doing, yet could, and being a frigid bitch about it. Gonna keep doing it until we do, or resign my interest completely due to Apathy. It’s about one offseason away from the latter.HH is not a QB lol
That’s a well-timed question. Have thought they’d be a lot better than they are. All I can say is that statistically they can’t do anything but improve based on their current talent, and with the potential via Oil-Money that that program possesses. They’re the statistical antithesis of us, currently. There’s a distribution in any statistical analysis, and they’re on the unhappy end, currently. Time will even that equation, if all other variables remain the same. I’d bet my children on that statement. Then why is A&M in the spot they are in?

When does the off season NC talk start? I’ll bet tomorrow. We’re young (even tho the entire defense is gone after next year), we just need OL and speed, rinse repeat for 24 years.First, a good exorcism! And then an off-season with a good psychologist!
I don’t disagree with you about the NIL program needing to be more than a good ol’ boy club that gets praised for crappy results. That absolutely needs to happen. But with such a weak schedule even this mediocre roster should have won 7 games. We need to invest Money, just like EVERY OTHER SUCCESSFUL TEAM CURRENTLY DOES. It’s really, really that simple. IT DOES NOT take a winning record to do that.
Do the players and coaches feel our pain? Are we just a bunch of old guys yelling into the wind? Seriously, are the coaches and players aware of the complaints and criticisms made by us, the fans?First, a good exorcism! And then an off-season with a good psychologist!

There’s nothing I can find published ranking the West. I’ve repeatedly published what were spending vs Top 25 teams. This is what I could find after 20m of DuckGo’ing, because Google is just Evil…Who in the West is outspending Nebraska?
