In his first year as Head Coach Kirby Smart lost to Vanderbilt, got blown out by a 5-7 Ole Miss, beat a 4-8 Missouri by 1 point, narrowly defeated a very mediocre Kentucky by 3, and beat FCS Nicholls State by 2 points.

His former boss Nick Saban, who had already won a National Championship before, lost to UL-Monroe en route to a 4 game losing streak ended by a near loss to a Dan Hawkins coached Colorado in the Independence Bowl.

Year 1 is rough fellas, but trust in the process. The 2 coaches that competed in last years National Championship game all had a rough start.

Georgia and Neb are miles apart in talent. We’d win 3 or 4 games in their conference.

Kirby Smart also put together the #3 recruiting class in the nation during his first year. After Georgia had several Top 10 classes before that.

Our current recruiting class is barely Top 25 and we just lost the top CB recruit on our board to Indiana.
