Has anybody made the change to synthetic grass (aka field turf) to their lawn? Our damn dog has created a mess of our lawn. We have an invisible fence and she has created a dog run along the front of the yard next to the sidewalk. It looks like we have a damn feed yard of cattle, and we have to basically give her a bath just to let her back in the house. Seriously looking at synthetic. Added bonus of always green and no mowing are a plus, but not the motivation.
Anything I should know about as I explore this idea? I'm in the Midwest, so will the neighbors get pissed because my lawn is going to stick out like a sore thumb when theirs goes dormant? Do you have to wash the lawn every time your dog takes a crap? Will tons of kids playing on it wear it out faster? How expensive was it to install?
