I wasn't joking. He's a huge Husker fan. That is a fact. He subscribed for the articles supposedly a number of years ago. I don't know him and have never talked to him so I can't verify it but I got if from a no BS reliable mod a long time ago so I believe it to be true.

If I remember, his wife is from Nebraska. He's been a guest on the sidelines at home football games multiple times, and often shows at Maryland games when they are playing the Husker football and volleyball teams. He's a very vocal supporter.

Years ago I was shopping for Husker attire at Husker Hounds in Omaha. While I was looking down at a specific item of Big Red inventory I could see someone coming towards me out of the corner of my eye and then the person just stopped. I sensed this person was waiting to get through the small space I was occupying between two racks of clothing. I looked up and he just looked at me and pointed to where he was trying to go. Of course, I obliged and let him get by me. That person was none other than Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Where was that cell phone camera when I needed it? Very cool experience and yes, he left with several bags of Husker gear. GBR.

I got to meet Sonia Sotomayor and that was an honor. But I would love to meet and talk with Justice Thomas. He is one of my heroes that made me who I am today.

Justice Thomas spoke at my Nebraska Law School commencement ceremony in 2011. As he was walking out into a secret service limo... my mom saw him and got him to sign the commencement program. I have it framed next to my law degree. He genuinely seemed very happy for all of the graduates that day
