Sunday, February 27th: Nebraska at TCU - (Huskers lose 5-3)

Huskers go 1-2-3 in the top of the 1st. A bunt single, walk, and RBI single gives TCU a 1-0 lead. It could of been worse but the runner at first was thrown out tagging up on a fly out to CF so the tag from home didn’t count.

The Huskers get the Leadoff guy on in the top of the 2nd but do nothing with it. TCU gets a couple hits but the Husker defense hold them to no runs.

In the 3rd Matthews leads the inning off with a standup double. Swanson barely misses a HR to LF to move him to 3rd. Banjoff with an RBI single up the middle. A single from Everitt puts runners in 1st and 2nd. Anderson flies out to LF. Chick K’s.

A walk and an RBI double gives TCU the 2-1 lead after 3.

Another Leadoff runner left stranded for the Huskers but TCU goes 1-2-3 to end the 4th.

A leadoff triple, an RBI single, and an RBI double give TCU a 4-1 lead and ends McCarville as Olson comes in to pitch. A WO and a groundout scores another run to make it 5-1 heading to the 6th.

Matthews had a solo shot but I missed the next run since I was driving and my car is too old for app radio. Haha 5-3 TCU in the top of the 9th.

The Husker loaded the bass with 2 outs but Everitt grounded out to 3rd to give TCU the series sweep.

The fire hasn't been there from top to bottom it doesn't seem like, maybe getting royally screwed will be the kick in the butt they needed.

That crew should be ashamed of themselves. Fulton's strike zone was horrible and Everitt was safe on that last play.
Oddly enough Andrew was a good college friend of mine. Grew up a Husker fan. Sometimes I wonder if he tries hard not to show his bias. I messaged him tonight asking what his strike zone was but no reply so far.
