I contacted the people doing the drought monitor map and basically told them they were full of you know what. They said based off stream flow, satellite imagery and lastly rainfall. Well if upstream they have rain and runoff, most of thayer county irrigated so some doofus in Maryland can't tell difference between irrigated and dryland/pasture satellite imagery....amazing now we went from slight drought to extreme drought in less than 2 weeks. Paid to bitch and thanks to ks newsletter for giving me phone number. The guy I talked to said "oh I see there's something wrong in there". 🤬
