You don't think that JP could have turned him into a great DT? I do.Bobot decided to leave and scurry off to Michigan State.

You, sure. Most people, arguable.
You tryin' to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curve ball?!?You don't think that JP could have turned him into a great DT? I do.

No, that is your point. It is not THE point. The point is that it would be great to have him and it is fair to say that JP would have had him playing great. That's not the point. The point is he didn't want to be here anymore.
Perhaps. Oh perhaps he would have pulled a bunch of BS and John would have benched him, too. We'll never know. No, that is your point. It is not THE point. The point is that it would be great to have him and it is fair to say that JP would have had him playing great.
Nah, can't see that happening. JP would have had him going like a boss.Perhaps. Oh perhaps he would have pulled a bunch of BS and John would have benched him, too. We'll never know.
Ok, you're right. He'd have been All-America.Nah, can't see that happening. JP would have had him going like a boss.
First team?Ok, you're right. He'd have been All-America.

As far as I can see there are two schools of thought here. One is that Williams is a quality player at a position for which we lack depth. Therefore, obviously it would be better for us if he were still here.
The other view, which is also my view, is that his attitude was bad and he was a toxin for team chemistry. Therefore, despite his talent, we are better off without him.
Despite our lack of depth I think losing him was addition by subtraction.
Maybe you missed the part where he just left us high and dry. And that's fine he can take his two-timing ass to Michigan State.
my view is that while the Davis twins may very well be monsters in the future many thought they were a lot further along the learning curve than they actually are ..
I get nervous anytime people are making wild prognostications about players who have never played a division 1 snap (Davis twins and essentially Mick)
For the record I think JP will be great - but the facts are he has very little coaching experience and none at the division 1 level
there are a lot of precarious assumptions that go into the believe by some that we are fine at DT. I remain concerned that we may not hold up along the line as the season wears on. An injury here or there might be the wrong piece to pull out of the Jenga pile.
What did he say?I would rather have players that want to be here. Didn't you Hear What Williams said to Jason Peter???
Holy crap what a cancer!
You know if you guys just wanna bitch and complain about everything why don't you take your Bobot and Hawkeye ass somewhere else?
What did he say?
Ok. Thanks. If memory serves, Williams responded to Peter's criticism by saying something to the effect that he doesn't care about the opinion of drug addicts.
What did he say?
No, that's what you call a warning shot across the bow. When I decide to escalate things you'll know.

I'm fine without KW being here .. probably for the best ... that doesn't change the fact that we are relying heavily on 3 unproven players at DT and a first year position coach
He said some really nasty things to Jason Peter because how dare he questioned his passion

That's been my nightmare scenario for this season. Sounds like no big deal, just a quick clean on the knee. Better to do it now against a team they should handle easily in Wyoming. That's the truth. An injury to Maurice and we have a mess on our hands. Just hearing Riley talk about moving Freedom inside gave me Cam Meredith flashbacks.
Red Jong rover the North Korea of the message board Seriously put the Bo card away, I think there is room for both schools of thought. It would be nice to have his experience and talent here but if he was (not confirmed) a team cancer then Probably better he isn't here but it hurts either wayHe said some really nasty things to Jason Peter because how dare he questioned his passion

Agreed. What is the talent level of Logan Rath? That's the truth. An injury to Maurice and we have a mess on our hands. Just hearing Riley talk about moving Freedom inside gave me Cam Meredith flashbacks.
Hmmmm, Totally nOt sure about that. I love JP and think he would have got him ready
Desperate attempt from a weak response to begin with. That happens with pretty much all of your posts.
Thank you for your posts; has to be frustrating at times to interact with the blind right. Again, Williams was fully informed as to his standing. He was a great talent coming into college. Its my thought he was informed he would have to compete for snaps; and it was looking like they might be tough to come by - no preferential treatment. If I want to slant to the negative; I am looking at the possibility he didn't want a new DT coach giving him a 2% solution, and liked the system he knew. .... .......There is a lot more to ending up at MSU in a position where you could start; than owning a pickup. HCMR may have been of strong assistance as to who had need; he surely had to give a positive review to someone. He is friends / friendly with the coaches. Not much chance Wiliams is the deciding factor if we meet them in the title game. As I see it , a great move for Wiliams to improve his resume; as things were dimming here. Of course the coaches would have loved another leader like Maurice or the senior LB's; but its not happening so the best move was facilitated ( someone's addition by subtraction comment may apply , vs a player feeling trapped to stay ). GBR - No loss yet; but I caution, quasi-trolls on the prowl; may be draped in red.

I apologize that I communicated poorly to the point where this became about KW
KW is gone -- good riddance
the issue is ... what kind of drop off do we experience after Maurice and Mick ?
the lack of snaps from the second team DTs in the Fresno game could be interpreted as being quite a large drop off
The Davis twins are going to have to grow up quick
as I have stated before ... the def line situation (DT and DE) is extremely tenuous. The entire season, in large part, could be determined by how things play out
there were several posts in the off season speculating that with the addition of JP and the emergence of the Davis twins we shouldn't expect much of a drop off compared to last years play. Some suggested that this was the most talented group of DTs (2 deep) that we have had in years.
will get some answers today and with something more definitive against Oregon
You were saying??Will not be back for Oregon! You don't get your knee scoped on the same knee you had surgery on and return in 8-10 days. I predict first B1G game at the earliest!
