I don't know if this has been posted yet. Nice little breakdown.

One thing that stands out to me is the lack of depth at WR and even more so at TE after 2016. I think WR will be fine with DPE, Morgan, Alston and the incoming freshman (especially if we land Fitzpatrick). But TE could be scary thin. After Carter, Foster and Cotton graduate, this is the roster:

-Snyder - good looking prospect - redshirted this year

-Tyler Hoppes - Will be a JR, transferred from Wayne State where he played DE - walk-on - has no seen action at Nebraska because of the transfer

-Connor Ketter - Will be a JR - walk-on from Norfolk - has not seen action

-Luke McNitt - Will be a JR - Transfer from Kearney - sat out 2014 due to transfer rules - has not seen action

-Jack Stoll - Current 2016 commit

To be fair, I suspect most college rosters from teams not named Alabama are scary thin at spots, but this is concerning.

McNitt and Hoppes wouldn't have had to sit I don't believe and I thought McNitt got on the field this year. Could be wrong. Regardless other than Snyder you're talking about walk on talent coming back. Not all bad at TE sometimes, but still not elite talent.

They're gonna do just fine at WR. IMO the biggest question marks on the team are at OL and RB. They badly need some DL depth as well, but there are a few guys who showed that they can step in and be solid. Valentine needs to come back, Maurice looked good, McMullen is playing well, the Davises will start getting PT. If they can sign a few guys for depth, they're on the way.

I believe if a player transfers up a division or laterally, you have to sit a year. If a player transfers down a division they may play immediately.

Next year the depth problem may be at defensive end (still) and offensive tackle. Past next season, then WR and DT look problematic, but hopefully this year's recruiting class will take care of WR depth at least.

Nebraska is loaded at WR and will be as long as Mike Riley is the coach and KW is the Receivers Coach. And Cethan Carter is going to be top 5 NFL TE prospect going into next season. That type of exposure will be attractive to National TE recruits going forward.

The situation at linebacker is dire. Hopefully Barry is the real deal, because Newby is ok and the rest that played this season should be 3rd stringers. In order to have a strong defense, you simply need playmakers at LB. We had none this year.

For having no linebackers this year, I would say Bray did extremely well with the cards he was dealt. Dedrick Young did very well for a freshmen. Rose-Ivey and Newby can both play. Banderas, I'll give you that one, the kid has all the physical tools to be great but I don't think he has it upstairs. Weber did very well for a walk on and the coaching staff really likes what they have in Ferguson and Barry. I don't believe the situation at LB is as dire as you say.

Dedrick looked promising at the beginning, but then his forty time seemed to drop to the 5.2 range of the others. Weber did look good for a walkon. Collins routinely flew past our backers to make plays. He is great, but should not be faster than every single one of our linebackers.

The offensive line has the potential to be atrocious. ? After ? After ?

All those grandiose plans for running the ball 50-60 times a game may go poof unless some of those guys make a big big jump in the offseason

Zero experience coming back and ???? Talent level of those with no experience expected to step in

I don't understand why Paul Thurston doesn't get more love. He played in both our last two bowl games and played the entire game against USC. I rewatched the games and he did very well. To me that's like having 3 starters back IMO!
