Ok guys here it is. This is Stanley Morgan's TD (our only TD) vs iowa.
In this play it looks as though westy has lined up on the LOS and covered up cotton thus making 84 an ineligible player to go downfield on a pass.
As a coach myself, when I see this formation to my side lined up by our opponent, I'm in the refs ear telling him to look at the covered up player.
I would be trying to get the ref to that side to watch for 84 releasing on a route to throw a flag. Most times this works and the ref will hold the flag and watch for a release. Sometimes the ref will say "back up 1" or ask "are you on 1" to get westy to either back up to uncover 84 or if he stays put its on him for the penalty.
Now if that's my offense I'm yelling at westy to back up before TA goes into his cadence so we don't get a false start.
Anyway here is the play and look for yourself and see if we got away with one.
Keep in mind that these are senior players in the 12th game of the season lining up this way.
