When would we have done that? He had a HC job until a few min ago.

We don't have a coaching position open and I highly doubt read is fired right now.

Hard to believe he would settle for recruiting coordinator and special teams coach. That sounds like wishful thinking by somebody.

C'mon Randy. Bo is just what the Tigers need. He brings a passion to the game that makes players want to run through brick walls. Les was just too nice. Bo will get them to play like men and can guarantee 9 wins a year. We all know how he coaches with other people's talent. I say it's time to bring him home.

He might have had a chance if he hadn't been such an ass..... here.

LOL Les could win 10 and that wasn't good enough plus a national title.

I never said anything about 10. Bo can only guarantee 9 wins a year... and a whale trophy. I don't think that LSU has a whale trophy. We had to open up a new wing to the trophy room to house all Bo's hardware. The talk of Bo to Baton Rouge has got momentum. Or is that Bo-mentum?

I could see LM having some type of consulting position, something similar to Devany has now. I doubt he'd hop on for a coordinator position.

All in all, he may take a year or two away.

Herman would be nuts to take that job. Recruiting territory is really juicy where he is, Houston would prolly get a Big 12 invite if he stays, and Houston would be more forgiving of a down season...Honestly...and I can't believe I am saying this...Houston>>>>LSU right now. LSU fans are freaking nuts.

Herman may get a chance to go the NFL pretty soon. If that's what he wants, I doubt that he'd take another college job.

Honestly, some people on the outside probably were thinking that same thing about Nebraska when Solich was fired.

Expectations are so high that no one is willing to take the position.

I can remember after Solich was fired plenty of our fan base thought we would land Urban Meyers when he was at Utah.

Agree 100%, and they were right. After a 9 or 10 win season (however you wish to count the win total I am fine with) I'm sure coaches around the country were also thinking "screw those guys".

Reports that LSU has already reached out to Briles and Hurman's agents.

As stated above it makes no sense for Herman to leave Houston. Pretty much guaranteed to get a Big 12 invite which would put Houston is a much easier conference than the SEC. Houston is in prime recruiting territory and a state that has big $$$. As for Briles, why would LSU want to do that? Sure if he wins it's all good. But the PR hit before he wins and if he doesn't win? Would be stupid of LSU to go for that right now.

Lol, Houston isn't in the same stratosphere as LSU and never will be. If you're a big time coach LSU is a job you want. They expect to win there and will do what it takes to make that happen.

I agree 100%..but this place wanted to dump Les last year, way before they should have and it hurt him even though he survived. I have to think that matters to some guys. My entire reasoning he'd stay at Houston is because LSU fans are nuts.

That's one of the parts that appeals to big time coaches though and one of the reasons it's a great job. You want the fans to be nuts about the sport.

is that Orgeron dream job? I read how he was a cajun, when the head coach search was going on at NU. maybe he could keep bo in line as a dc.
