Maybe I missed the explanation of an evolving strategy concerning our strategy for running back recruiting, but I thought early in the '17 recruiting cycle it was a general understanding that we were really just looking to sign one stud RB, and if we didn't get that, we might pass on taking a RB altogether.
So I was surprised when we learned Bradley had a commitable offer, and surprised further when we seemed to heavily recruit Verdell after Bradley's commitment. Maybe I'm wrong, but we certainly didn't seem too eager to bring Tilford on board, and I thought he seemed pretty receptive towards Nebraska. Peacock seemed to garner less and less attention too, even though many on this board seemed to believe he performed well at the Nebraska camp and was more in line with what Reggie Davis likes in a back. So was Bradley and Verdell farther up our board than I tend to believe? Was my assumptions about our RB recruiting wrong to begin with? Did something change once the season started, and we changed our strategy on how many and who we would take?
THanks for anyone that can provide some insight....
