soooo.....the weekend????

Tell me again. Who do you work for? Or if you own your own business, what is it called again? You post a lot on here. Maybe you could get some subscribers. If I was someone as “connected” and had such playing experience, I would think that would be a good selling tool.

But…you’re just a dumbass in your moms basement making all this shit up while typing on your keyboard with Cheetos dust all over your fingers.

I’m sure you’ll respond to this with some “slick burn” insult that with just

We help in many sports, but I focus on football obviously. I have many subscribers and members but its not in the same format as rivals, etc. A good portion of my time is spent actually scouting and going to camps. Its pretty awesome. And then the added bonus is I get to help folks like you that have questions about a players talents, deficiencies, etc.

This includes in the classroom and on the field. We evaluate not only a players on-the-field talent - but also their ability to be a good teammate, do they skip class, are they of high character, etc. Its not always easy for me to determine these characteristics but with time, its gotten much easier with experience

AND THANK YOU!

I wouldn't expect anything earthshattering. It's pretty predictable. They liked the visit, some will say they're definitely coming back for the Spring Game or for an official visit and there will be no immediate commitments. Pretty much standard expectations. This weekend was about getting the foot in the door for future consideration.
True. I visited with a couple of the parents of recruits and all said either their son loved everything and said this is a Special place.

overall glowing reviews

few elite recruits are going to commit early and many will take it down to signing day

the key is to figure out who to wait on and who to move off on ..... you need to have most of your class solidified at some point before signing day ... need to know when, despite being in someone's "top 5" when to cut bait and sign a lower rated (but very good) recruit .. the whole "a bird in the hand" thing

you don;t want to be scrambling and need to take a bunch of mid major recruits or hope to flip recruits committed to other power 5 schools when plan A doesn't materialize in the late hours

must be very stressful having to thread this needle every recruiting cycle

if he isn't going to commit to Nebraska, I wish he would stay away and stop teasing the fan base.
He is not teasing the fan base. He is the number one recruit with nearly every option available to him. He is complimentary of every school he visits. This is what big time recruiting is. Weather we land him or not this staff has put in tremendous effort. We also had a bunch of other top flight prospects in town. In the deed the glory.

I agree with this. Rhule is swinging for the fences at this stage in the game. Why not? He has both NFL cred and Power 5 success cred. Maybe commits start snowballing or maybe they don’t. I suspect they don’t due to 6 year bowl drought and poor recent NFL drafts. But he may still have a chance with some of these guys if the on field results look good in the fall.

In any case, i prefer this approach to Pelini’s approach of not even trying for true top shelf talent.

As you mention, he just needs to understand where we really stand with these guys and not let yourself be strung along late in the game by kids that either crave attention or avoid letting people down.

What camps have u made it too so far?

I have a lot of respect for 247sports as I think they are hard workers, but their evaluations are continually off base - its just not their expertise as they focus more on the journalism aspect where I provide more technical expertise due to my playing and coaching background. Everyone has different strengths.

I feel confident in my evaluation of Gradney after his junior season and we'll continue to monitor as we head in the fall. I'm planning on heading there at beginning of Oct. to see him again.
Who in the hell is Recruiting Analyst anyway? He has no more credentials to do what he's doing than my neighbor, and my neighbor's a postman, and he doesn't even have season tickets.
