Who do you think is getting into the playoff? I know it is going to come down to Alabama and Ohio St. While I hate Ohio St think they deserve it over Alabama. Think winning ones conference needs to be at the top of list of priorities to get into playoff. Clemson, Okla, Georgia and Ohio St all won. Bama was sitting at home. They shouldn't get in as a default. I don't think one could make a case for USC winning PAC12 because Ohio st is currently ranked ahead. My final rankings:

1. Clemson
2. Oklahoma
3. Georgia
4. Ohio St

5. Alabama

I think it should probably be Alabama. About the only thing that OSU has over Alabama is a conference championship. Alabama has less losses. A higher FPI. Heck, losing to Iowa by 31 should automatically DQ them.

The SEC does not play 9 conference games only 8 that should be a HUGE strike against them. ALL power 5 teams should have to play 9 conference games, and play a non conference schedule that includes at least 1 other Power 5 school.

Keeping Bama out of the playoffs should happen this year and told the reason why is the 8 game conference schedule is not right when other conferences play 9, Change it or this will happen more often. SCREW THE SEC!

Which makes it even crazier that their teams are at the top side of the strength of schedule.

How do computers figure this? Are they based off the last 10 years and not this year?

Whilel I would like to see UCF in there. No chance.. Also not sure how Wisc stays ahead of OSU after OSU just beat them.

These Championship games are a
Fraud if you don’t count them regardless how much you lose one game...

Bama didn't have to tee it up last night and could seat back in their recliner without having to worry about losing.

I agree here. There should be an 8 team playoff. If there is a really weak power 5 conference championship then put a maximum number if losses allowed to qualify. Then they could take additional wildcard pick to replace them. This might give a team like UCF to at least get their shot.

Iowa beat OSU and I have Iowa ranked below OSU though...

I was just going by W-L record.
Wiscy > OSU

Then by worse loss(es).
Wiscy > OSU

OSU was better yesterday. Are they better every day? Ask Stanford who was better the first time they played USC. Now after a rematch, who is better? USC?

What if Wiscy and OSU played again next week and Wiscy won? Who is better?

UCF could happen to beat Bama 1 out of 30 tries. If that 1 time happened to be the only game played, what would we think?

Not saying I am right for putting Wiscy over OSU, just giving the reason/my arguement why I did it in the post above.

OSU will also have beat two top 10 teams, and a ranked MSU. No team vying for the 4th spot has a slam dunk argument.

Regarding automatic disqualifications, or qualifications for that matter. There is no formula for playoff inclusion with the current system. It’s system that uses a collective subjective evaluation and ranking. Therefore, given the system we have, there is no right or wrong decisions, only decisions.

If OSU, Alabama, USC, or UCF, get the final spot, it is what it is. No wrong decision, just a decision based on the system.
