How come Tennessee has made such a great turn around in a short period of time. Nebraska always needs one more year.
Go look at how Tennessee recruits vs how we do. Then throw NIL in there. It ain't rocket science.

Wtf is this about? Gifford is one of the most physically gifted players on the team. He had one bad game in an environment where the entire defense looked lost and confused at times. He's had good to great games every other game the last two years. I'm sure he'll bounce back, and hoping the rest of the defense does as well.I think Gifford is a solid player. He's not great and he definitely doesn't suck. He just has some physical limitations that won't change. Like a lot of the guys on our defense they aren't physically the most gifted. Which is why they have to play great as a TEAM. They have very few guys capable of making up for a misstep.

Because they have a great coach who's possibly the best offensive mind in college football. How come Tennessee has made such a great turn around in a short period of time. Nebraska always needs one more year.
I don’t agree with this at all. In fact, who was the last team to win it all with a true duel threat? Texas with Vince young? Most great teams don’t run the qb as they don’t tend to last the whole year.I’m afraid that in college ball your QB better be able to keep a D honest with his legs. I don’t think DK brings that to the table. IMO it’s a handicap for Raiola too.
Tennessee really overwhelmed oklahomas defense last night.Because they have a great coach who's possibly the best offensive mind in college football.
I’m not saying you have to be Frazier. Tua, Hurts, hell Mayfield has some wheels. Burrow is pretty damned athletic.I don’t agree with this at all. Dylan is just a big of a run threat at Tua. Stetson Bennett? McCarthy? Taking it down a notch, Caleb Williams? Bryce young? Very few big name qb’s have more run ability than Dylan, who has already picked up multiple first downs with his feetI’m not saying you have to be Frazier. Tua, Hurts, hell Mayfield has some wheels. Giff is a great voice and leader on the D, but he's not an All American type player. I'm not going to go as far to say he is a weak link, but if Stewart were to become the Rover back, I don't see much dropoff.Gifford is FAR from one of the most physically gifted players on the team. I'm not down on him at all. In fact I like him but he is what he is. If you think he's superior physically then you are mistaken. Turn on the TV and watch a little more ball from other teams and you will see the difference. Solid player, great leader and plays very hard. Physically gifted though he is definitely not.

Um no. He’s picked up a couple of short first downs with his feet. Tua is pretty darned athletic. Bryce Young is very quick but tight now the Panthers probably would rather have Dylan. 😉. Mc Carthy actually is pretty quick as well. Dylan’s best skill with his feet is moving in the pocket but when it’s collapsing it would be nice if he could outrun a DE.Dylan is just a big of a run threat at Tua. Stetson Bennett? McCarthy? I do watch football from around the country, and he's one of the more impressive athletes on the defensive side that you will see. Gifford has very good speed, size, and instincts that allows him to be very good at making solo tackles and plays in open space that the average player couldn't make. Here's a clip of him running down plays from the backside, and he just recently had a great one against NIU that saved what would have been a huge play. Let's be honest here, the only reason someone wouldn't think he's a good athlete is because he's white. But Gifford is in fact a great athlete and a damn good football player.Gifford is FAR from one of the most physically gifted players on the team. I'm not down on him at all. Hartzog sucks and is undersized. Gifford is just as fast as him, and has much better size and instincts. Their situations aren't even comparable.I like Stewart as well. But if I'm being honest I kinda worry about his athleticism a bit as as well. But he's definitely physical and has great instincts. He will "stick his nose in the fan" so to speak when it comes to the run game. It wouldn't surprise me though because he definitely has the intangibles.
BTW I agree completely about Giff. I think people think because you point out weaknesses of some of our guys that means you don't like them. That would be far from the truth. I love Gifford and what he brings to the table.
Give you another example. I've said from his first year that the size of Malcolm Hartzog would hinder him at times. People took it as me not liking him. Again not the case. Great kid and seemingly a leader HOWEVER there will be times when teams attack him due to his physical limitations. He's had a few interceptions for us and that's great but it doesn't change his limitations.
I guess what I'm saying is when this thing gets going at the highest level you will see less guys playing significant minutes with those limitations. I know guysnare down on Princewell right now but he is exactly the type of athlete you need throughout your defense to play at the highest of levels. That kid we got committed out of Kentucky is an example. V9 is an example. Guys don't necessarily have to be highly rated to be those types either. It's why I don't get too caught up in the stars. Especially if you have coaches who can develop.
I think the WR we got out of Kansas has a shot. Hayes I think is his name. Put in the right situation that kid can be dangerous.
Here I go rambling again. Sorry lol
