Old timer here. Was a high school freshman when Bob was hired. Didn't know much about the Huskers then, other than they weren't good. I do remember Bill Jennings team beating Oklahoma to stop their winning streak but those highlights were few and far between. Having lived through the greatest years with BD and TO, I can characterize the past 20 as a dismal struggle. The lopsided losses, the national television embarrassments. Once a Husker always a Husker whether a fan or a player. Whether we lost by one or were pummeled it was gut wrenching to endure. The past few, nay more than the past few, years I resigned myself to the fact we may never again be relevant in the world of college football. Right now I am so f---ing stoked!!. I know the process will take time but, as I see it, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter. BTW, I live in OKC and there has only ever been one Big Red and its not the one in norman.
