Talking weather on a Sports Forum wtf.Okay all you teachers, what say you?
Snow day tomorrow?
You should love it; with cold weather comes frost, the thought of which, as we all know, gets you very excited.Talking weather on a Sports Forum wtf.
Talking weather is something you do when you're 85 and bored stiff with nothing in your life.
Those commercials are great. The latest with the guy cleaning his trash cans and the dude in the elevator.
live in Nebraska. This is what we have to look forward to.Talking weather on a Sports Forum wtf.

Yeah, I was at UNL during that crazy storm, like 96 maybe? 97?I know every generation says this, but it'll be bullshit if kids get a snow day for probably what ends up being 6". Both in HS and at UNL we never had actual snow day and there were a few days where it literally snowed 12"+ and buses were getting stuck and weak as Harvey still wouldn't call classes. **** you Perlman!
Right. If you don't care don't click on the thread titled snow day. It's not that hard. 😢We

It’s done quite often in Lincoln. The timing of the snow could F things up. It is hard to call off school when there is no snow on the ground yet.
I don’t see what the difference is between crying about this, or anything else the usual crowd whines about reading…. But oh well. Most adults can read things, and not melt down because it’s not what they want to see.Right. If you don't care don't click on the thread titled snow day. It's not that hard. 😢
NE doesn't seem to get the blizzards like we got in the 70's and 80's as kids. It’s done quite often in Lincoln.
It just reminds me of the people who click on stories and comment about the Kardashians and then complain they are tired of reading about the Kardashians.I don’t see what the difference is between crying about this, or anything else the usual crowd whines about reading…. not in my district. Will need to break out the sno mobile and goggles i guessOkay all you teachers, what say you?

Depends on the wind. I don't think we are getting much wind with this. But if it carries a lot of moisture it could be hard to move, and with the warmer temps the gravel roads and such could be an absolute mess. I guess it kind of depends on where your district is. Rural or city. Some of my teaching friends are thinking we get two days off. I am not feeling it though.
Not a fan of Progressive, but those commercials are great!
Bonjour. Anybody from out of town? Those commercials are great. The latest with the guy cleaning his trash cans and the dude in the elevator.
Only comment I would make in defense of not having "old school" administrators is that anytime there is dangerous or hazardous driving conditions you run the risk of students not being prepared to drive in that and they would wreck and be injured/killed. Nobody wants that to happen or have it be on their conscience. Let's face it, kids are not as aware of driving in good weather these days let alone in 6 plus inches of gooey shit. I can see why school is called off more often these days.Used to be, if a late start, busses run WHERE possible. Had to be pretty bad to call off school. Don't have many "old school " supt making those decisions anymore. Heck with cell phones and 4wd these days, not nearly as dangerous as it was back in the day
It was 1991, buddy of mine was married that weekend..Can’t remember the year - maybe ‘94 or so? - but there was a major freeze + snow in Omaha that canceled Halloween
Only bad snow day in the history of snow days
Go learn about college basketballTalking weather on a Sports Forum wtf.

I like the one guy trying to fix the line. We don't need a line monitor. 😂Bonjour. Anybody from out of town?
Ralston is off tomorrowI like the one guy trying to fix the line. We don't need a line monitor. 😂
Exactly, no more actual snow days is kind of lame. The Millard School District has been set up for elearning since 2018ish, it’s an easy call for them to cancel and keep buses off the roads. They generally wait to announce until other districts start announcing.
