When I read about that article and rebuttal, it was pretty obvious to me that there are still a lot of skeletons and ghosts (for lack of a better term) going on down in Lincoln. More than I had previously thought, and I think it has been hidden fairly well from the regular fan base that isn't located in Lincoln.

I agree. He's also painful to listen to on Sharpe and Benning. I usually just turn it off when he's hosting.

That's a built in excuse for the current regime though. And it's pretty weak. We were not a losing program when Bo left us. Not a championship program. But we were a consistent winner under him.

2008 - One more win get us in the Confer champ game. We tied for the division but loss to Missouri
2009 - One more win, we are conference champs or I a Major bowl game
2010 - Conference champs or BCS bowl game
2011 - One more win and I firmly believe they take us over Michigan with wins over Mich St, Penn St and Ohio St that year.
2012 - One more win. Conference champs or Major Bowl.
2013 - Injury season
2014 - This is the one season that doesn't apply IMO. Michigan St was in our division.
Interesting you follow up a post saying you are sick of about talking about Bo with a post 3 minutes later talking about Bo. It is human nature to compare what was to what is. Ever hear an old guy say the world is going to hell because we did X and kids nowadays do Y? Not that it isn't tiresome, but that is the way it is, especially on a message board. The fact that what was was toxic (despite W/L record and almost wins) doesn't help memories fade quickly.
The question was asked, and I answered it. To me it's not an excuse, but an explanation. Why else would people continue to bring up Bo?
As HuskerWed said, comparing what is to what was is natural. How do people propose we change it then? What do you think jeans15 or anyone else for that matter? And no, it's not valid to simply say don't talk about Bo. What will stop people who are talking about Bo?

Hell, how long did we hear it was all Callahan's fault Bo couldn't get it over the hump yet....Bo's best teams were arguably full of Callahan recruits.
