Think about this. Since losing at Purdue last year, this team is 6-1. 4 of those 7 games were against Top 25 opponents, and in those 4 games we went 3-1. And with one less interception against Iowa, we go 4-0 in those games.

I'm not saying we're ready to compete for National Titles or even a BIG Title. But this team is as impressive as they have been in nearly a decade. They continue to improve, and now, with a legit shot at starting 7-0, if we can continue to impress heads will start to turn and take notice of what's going on in Lincoln. If they can continue to improve week over week, and if the staff can continue their momentum on the recruiting trail and with play development, we could be in for some special things over the next few months and years. Really exciting time for Huskers everywhere! GBR!

And what is still equally impressive to me is that Riley and staff didn't lose the team after that loss, especially in their first year with players they didn't recruit. Says a ton about their ability to motivate and unite their players.

Thanks for posting this! It seems to me there is a awful lot to appreciate with this team and staff right now and I for one,,, am thoroughly enjoying it!

Riley and company have shown that they can get Nebraska to compete at the highest level against top 25 teams. I like the fight in this team and the fact that they don't fold when momentum goes in the other direction. There is less finger pointing now when bad things happen and players work to maintain a positive attitude which translates to better play on the field.

This is an exciting team and one that should get better and better as the year goes on.

What I really loved yesterday, and IMO it was the whole key to the win was the halftime adjustment and the mentality coming out from halftime. All through halftime I kept thinking, if we can come out and go run heavy and really lean on the Oregon D Line and start to wear them out, cap it off with a score and then immediately get a Defensive 3 and out that could be the nail in the coffin. And I'll be danged if they didn't come out and do exactly that. I think the first 6-7 plays of the 3rd Quarter were runs right up the middle, and you could tell what that did to Oregon both psychologically and physically. Obviously the game was still a toss up at that point, but that drive and the subsequent Defensive stand really set the tone for the second half.

listening to the coaches, particularly Langs, the adjustments worked out perfectly. They spread the gaps to create bigger creases at half, the result was beautiful.

Langsdorf sucks because you know he made that bad call that one time. He didn't even score more points than UC Davis. What a loser.

Agreed. It was wonderful what we saw coming out of halftime.
It can't be underestimated that we didn't panic and go full CFL mode.
