SIAP

Many here have declared him a bust. I agree he isn’t doing great now but I think that is 90 percent what we are asking of him. He can make throws. He struggles when we ask him to hang in against a blitz and throw to second and third options. A good coordinator and team would take pressure off their true freshman qb. Not make plays for them
I’ve screamed all year that we need to commit to the run game to help him. We can’t give up if we get stuffed a time or two. Honestly I think we might be better playing Haarberg right now because of his run threat. I BELIEVE that Rhule might be playing the long game though thinking Raiola will be better next year for having gone through the battles this year. Fair or not, he’s going to get criticized for his play. Nobody cares that he’s a freshman.

Your last sentence is the problem. No one wrecks on banks and neyor for their shitty play as seniors. No one see the whole picture. Just that DR isn’t getting it done despite the fact that the staff and offense should protect him when instead they want the guy with the least experience to make up for everyone else’s deficiencies.

I disagree that those guys have played that poorly. They’ve made some spectacular catches against tight coverage. They’re by far our best pass catching WRs.

I think they are our two worst top 2 wr’s I’ve ever seen. They rarely beat man coverage, I never see them win one on one. And by far my biggest problem is they are the two worse blocking wr’s I’ve ever seen. The number of missed block and subsequent blocks in the back after missing a block by those two this year has been truly impressive. I’ll go as far to say if they were average blockers, Satt would still be the OC because all of his “stupid screen plays” would have been far more effective if those two could even sniff a stock block.
