Still?? To coach tight ends??

He has a contract that Nebraska has to honor whether he coaches in 2025 or they let him go unless there is language that states his contract is lowered if he is not the OC.

Glen Thomas at 800k? For what? Raiola got worse as year progressed and still acts like a dangus idolizing mahomes. At the very least as his qb coach talk him in to toning down the mahomes mannerisms

Why does Ron Brown get the shaft... He could make more being an assistant manager at a chick-fil-a

Anyone on this board that thinks money is his prime motivator?
No, I am sure it isn't actually. However it sure feels like Satterfield's salary could get split up to the people that actually work and try.

^^^This is called subtle sarcasm for the folks in the back^^^

You dipshit he has a contract. We were paying him 1.4 million regardless. If he comes back next year he will sign a new contract to be a TE coach. His pay will be adjusted accordingly.

He shouldn’t be anywhere around this team

Horrible message to send to a team you’re trying to mold into winners

Absolute double standard loser shit from Rhule

Satt is a f*cking atrocious football coach.

Will be nice to get rid of the Satturdfield, Thomas, and Snow salaries after this upcoming season.
We could be throwing that money at the #1 rated RB recruit on out list.
DH will coach up Dylan next year, I know they are keeping those guys because they are under contract but man what a waste of money

Won’t this be Snows’s first official full season in 2025? Winking

They are all buddies of Rhule.

Exactly, Matt isn’t going to let anyone go. that would take a set of balls. Matt just waits until their contract expires

I agree, he's not ever going to let go of Satt..

I suspect Rhule will be gone at the end of next season.. with an 8+ win record, he will pronounce the rebuild a success and take another job.

I suspect they can convince DH to take the reigns.. so both Satt and Rhule move on together.

At that point, we might be okay for awhile.. it's hard to say if the AD and DH are on the same page though.

Another bad take, You don’t know much about Holgenberg and Rhule relationship.

I really doubt Rhule is gone after 2025. Too good of a gig at Nebraska and he'll win more games so most fans will be happy to keep him. Now there may well be more staff turnover.

How could Satt be fired for cause
performance matters in competitive, merit-based businesses

perhaps that's not what we are currently operating, but if Satt posted his relative numbers in any workplace he would be face down in the gutter where he belongs.

No coach anywhere gets fired for cause based only on the performance on the field. Not saying it’s right but that’s how college sports are run everywhere not just at Nebraska.

Satt should have been fired for cause, thus terminating the money, but Rhule prioritizes buddies over competence and winning.
Fired for cause means he has to have violated some rules in his contract. Perceived lack of performance doesn't qualify if that's your angle.

as I've said over and over we should be paying Satt to get the hell away from Nebraska Football as fast as humanly possible

his remaining involvement in the program is indefensible

You're fighting emotional arguments with facts, that won't get you very far on this topic. Personally, I thought our TE's played pretty well after the DH hiring. You can say that sure - that's because of DH not Satt, but I'll let DH and MR worry about that. If Dana is fine with Satt coaching TE's I'm fine with it too. Now, $1.4M sucks but that's our cross to bear for one more year.
