Plenty of Nebraska commits and targets in this one. Here are some observations:
1. Darnay Holmes continues to be fantastic and he's gotten even better into his senior season. I know everybody is recruiting him as a cornerback and he closes on the ball so well, he's always there to poke it away or make a play and it's never easy on the receiver. He's also so, so good at receiver. He cuts on a dime, blows by pretty talented DBs and he is a playmaker. I don't think he's as freaky athletic as Adoree' Jackson but he's probably an all-around better football player.
2. The second-best player at Calabasas tonight was Brendan Radley-Hiles. He isn't the biggest defensive back out there but he is super physical, loves to lower his shoulder and make plays and he's a dynamic athlete, too. He really lowers the boom and loves to play with a chip on his shoulder which I like to see. He also had an 85-yard kick return for a TD where he cramped up in the final few yards and still toughed it out into the end zone.
3. Deommodore Lenoir was also excellent. Again, he's dynamic all over the field on offense, defense and special teams. I actually thought he should be used more on offense than he was because with the ball in his hands he's great. He returned a punt 95 yards for a touchdown and once he accelerates not a lot of people are catching him. Thought he was better at CB than safety, too.
4. Rahyme Johnson was impressive in space but that's no surprise because he's always impressive in space. He closes really well, wraps up, makes some big hits and with his size and athletic ability he has no problems covering receivers. He wasn't super effective blitzing tonight but that really isn't a huge part of his game.
5. Gebbia was hot and cold. He threw two interceptions (one was returned for a touchdown) but he also made some really nice throws, fit the ball into tight windows and he continues to show off great arm strength. One of his nicest throws was across the field to Keyshawn Johnson Jr. in the end zone, which was Gebbia's nicest throw and Johnson's nicest catch of the night. As for Johnson, he had a bunch of short catches on the outside and the TD grab. He still needs to grow into his body, though, and I wouldn't be shocked to see his sprout up a few inches over the next couple years.
