Saturday, March 5th: Nebraska at UT Arlington - (Huskers win 8-2)

I can update as I can. Birthday fun makes the updates more generic though. As long as we can in that’s all that matters. 😁

Gomes out of the lineup for the 3rd straight game. Curious if something happened after he got doubled up in game one Friday. Chick down for the second straight game - tough for Cam but can't blame the staff as he's been awful. I'm really confused by Banjoff in CF as he's likely the slowest OF'er we have plus Anglim is a heck of an OF'er

Bottom 1

VanVooren: 5-3
Henry: 1B CF
Saunders: K (on 4 strikes)
Ponce:
Pitch out, Caron nails Henry at 2B

0-0 after 1

Bottom 2

Ponce: 1B RF (Bolt yelled at Steil for no attempt)
Lumsden: F5 near the plate
Cavanagh: U3 dribbler
Ponce advances to 2B
Rice: U3

0-0 after 2

I'm curious why the radio keeps playing an advertisement for a game against the Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence on Tuesday. That's. . .kind of embarrassing for whomever put that together.

I laughed at that too. You would think a proof reader of some sort would catch that mistake.

It's not QUITE as annoying as the Bud Light ad that appears to be played at about 0.75x speed. Hopefully that's out of the rotation.

My wife laughs every time they play the First National commercial. She says the lady is saying F'n BO...

3-0 Skers after 3. McCarville w/ 27 pitches.

5 or 6 pitch inning after the offense put up a 3-spot. I'm still not entirely sure why McCarville got the TBA treatment, he was the only starter in weeks 1 and 2 to pitch into the 5th both times.

His numbers haven't been good, although he did compete the first 2 weekends which is something KP & SS didn't do. Most likely sending a message to everyone that competition remains open.
