I've resigned to the likelihood an at large NCAA bid is out of the question with as many bad non-conference losses as we have. For all I care, that first one is all that matters. Get favorable seeding in the conference tourney and get that automatic bid.
The big thing is not being the #4 or #5 seed with the new tournament format to get Wednesday as a rest day (unless you lose as a 2/3/6/7 seed in the first round).
Yep, after the Omaha loss I accepted the fact that we have to win the conference now. Our RPI would have gone down this week even if we finished 4-0. Nebraska has nobody to blame but themselves in the end but still have the opportunity to make a regional if they win the league. So, let’s win the dang league is my thought.
Wish they would make an announcement soon on todays game start time. Folks need to travel distances to get there and would like to know soon about delays. I can read the radar just like they can for gosh sakes. Delay it to 4 pm and make the damn announcement already.
I assume Northwestern didn’t get in until yesterday morning? Why else would you not have a double header yesterday as the weather was perfect and we all knew it would be awful out today.
Yep. If I had told you Nebraska would get shutout in 8 out of 9 innings we are probably assuming a much more stressful result.
