I’d be curious to see if Rylee Rice of Ainsworth eventually gets a scholarship to UNL. She is a freak athlete that is only a sophomore. She was a state champion in all of her events last season. She has a rare combination of speed and stamina. She runs the 100 and 300 M hurdles and also runs the mile where she often wins by large margins. In cross country this year she was the all class champion and was also a state champion in cross country last year. She is nothing short of remarkable.
I covered her yesterday at the Sandhills Invite in Bassett Nebraska where she received gold in the 100 hurdles winning by 2 seconds. Then received gold in the 300 hurdles where she won by 4 seconds and then dominated in the mile where the next closest runner was a minute behind and she proceeded to lap 3 other runners.
She is also the only person I’ve ever seen make it look so easy that she’s not even breathing heavily or sweating after running a long distance.
If you get the opportunity to go down to state track, make sure to pay close attention to her. Unbelievable talent. GBR.
