After hearing diaco explain the game plan my understanding is he didnt want alot of 50/50 shots that could result in big plays. He also didnt want to tie down or press cover their big physical wr's with inexperienced players (the cb's). So like u pointed out in another thread play zone and come up and tackle the bubble screens quickly. That didnt happen of course. was it speed, play recognition, or poor tackling? I would bet a little of all 3. Based on the personnel at least in the base 3-4 I like the game plan I just wish it was executed better. Going forward I believe they will get these issues fixed. Im excited to see how they handle the challenges that Oregon will bring. It was said earlier but it isn't always scheme that is game planned for. Sometimes, a lot of time really, personnel is what is game planned. The scheme may not have a weakness but a player might. Or the scheme may have a weakness but the player at that weakness can mitigate that weakness. By not showing what his players can do, or not do, it doesn't allow Oregon to see either and plan for it
