Noticed Ron on the sideline a lot last week and I wondered to myself why they can't let someone go and give him the gig. Doesn't matter who. Foley. McGuire. Satterfield. Barthel. At least you would have a 2nd coach on the offensive staff who gave a full effort and was competent. Same for ST.
He was a whipping boy on here by many for years. I for one have always been glad he's been part of this team. WR blocking has gotta have been driving him nuts. Not sure why that's been happening. I know he's not coaching them but sure he still sees it
That's what I thought! Who better to be put in charge of getting Merritt here as he is the most devout Christain on that staff, not saying Rhule isn't devout but Brown has that well known reputation as he is devout extreme and makes sense when you listen to Dawson speak.
Have been saying this in several posts, and questioning why Brown wasn't put in charge of teaching the receivers how to hit and block with tenacity and ferocity to begin with because of another well known reputation of his. When Brown coached them under Osborne, they were they best blocking and harding in all of back then DIV I year in and year out as he was the innovator of it as he took it to a level that even teams today can't match. He's got his work cut out for him with these guys as his receivers played with the mentality of It's my will against yours, and you will lose. That was the mentality as well of Osborne's teams. Satterfield severely dropped the ball on perimeter blocking.
