One day in Lincoln, the next day in Orlando
From the beginning will cost him his job. There is no continuity from our team although I do see potential on the defensive side of the ball. Could you image Diaco being in his 3rd year at the helm rather than the 1st?

As for the offense, the Cav should have never been hired. Those guys are pathetic.. Not even Tom Brady could save this offense.

Wait he was innovative as he Brought in all those Oregon State powerhouse guys that no other team was pursuing

Why is it shocking to anyone that Riley would bring in guys he has worked with to a new job?

If I left for a better company I would bring my current team as it would help with the transition. Almost everyone would.

Because the results that him and HIS STAFF posted in Corvallais were mediocre.. You saying that you would bring over your underachieving, mediocre buddies with you to help you get acclimated? Decisions like that will get you fired. Ask our boy Billy Callahan.

Difference between initially bringing them over and once they've been at the job for a few years.

Riley believed he had good coaches and that with the resources, support and talent at Nebraska they'd do well. When that wasn't the case for certain coaches then he'd let them go. It'll be interesting to see what Riley does with Cavanaugh.

Sorry, wrong. The best leaders hire the best person for the job--not their friends.

Nobody has ever said we hired the best coach (Saban's, Meyer's, Harbaugh's, Stoops of CFB).

It'd be interesting to know how many coaches bring their coaching staff with them when moving to a better program.

I think a lot of it is just Riley himself. For the most part, he makes the right choices. He does the right thing. The guy's just not a winner.

I agree with this; however, this decision may be the one that gets him fired. We are too far behind right now with the changes we have had to make. And Cav should go tomorrow.

I think we have a lot of really good assistant coaches. It just took to long to get them here and we still run an antiquated offense. We could probably get a great OC and be very good, but honestly Riley doesn't deserve that opportunity after three seasons and already starting over on defense.
