What if Riley were to come out at the end of the year and make a public statement that he was retiring (that is only IF he would otherwise be fired, not saying he should or shouldn't be), would that help with 1) keeping certain recruits if Riley told them was retiring from football & to stick with NU 2) help with NU saving face in the coaching world and attracting a good coach, rather than firing him?? Or could we keep in at NU in an administrators role and he says tells recruits he just can't do it anymore, for health reasons?? I know maybe stupid thoughts was just wondering what everyone thought. And sorry if already talked about.
