It is well known that Nebraska lost a large group of Seniors in 2016 and has a measly group of 11 in 2017. Phil Steele predicates about everything he does around returning experience so he's willing to bet Nebraska will take a step back in the win column in 2017.

If you could choose the most important spots to have returning experience what positions would you pick? For me, it would be QB, OL, DL, K & P. Nebraska is bringing in a QB with extensive D1 starting experience. Returning 5 OL with starting experience and 4 DL with starting experience. An all-conference kicker coming back and a punter who has already faced as much adversity as possible. We seem to be in pretty good shape, at those positions, starters wise because in CFball it's damn difficult to enter a season with your backups having vast playing experience. I guess my summation is that Nebraska appears to be inexperienced in the correct places.
