introduce themselves to Husker Nation when Coach Riley took over?... I loved those. I distinctly remember watching Hank's video and thinking he wasn't very dynamic, personable or engaging compared to the other coaches. I am not piling on here, but it just really stuck out to me at the time and obviously other coaches, players and recruits felt the same way. I wish him the best and i hope we bring in an amazing d-line teacher and somebody who can croot like no other! GBR!

I agree. That is what made the hire a head scratcher. He wasn't one of Riley's buds and he didn't seem to have the personality for the position or the recruiting trail. Evidently the fact that he had been a DC is something that swayed Riley into hiring him. I remember lots of talk about all the former Coordinators that we had on staff.

Best available guy with some knowledge of recruiting the B1G footprint perhaps. Somebody else brought up that he did in fact know Banker. I don't think he's a bad coach and he seems like a decent guy.
