THAT'S IT! It's really doesn't hit home until you write it down. In our major metro areas, with a population of around one million, we can only sign 7 players in 5 years, and go 4 years without signing one from Omaha.

If you want to analyze problems with our program, you can start right here. Sure, we get a number to walk on, but look at 1991-1995 (we averaged giving 25 scholarships a year):

1991 - Tony Veland - Omaha
1991 - Clester Johnson - Omaha
1992 - Damon Benning - Omaha
1992 - Clinton Childs - Omaha
1992 - John Hesse - Lincoln
1992 - Eric Stokes - Lincoln

1993 - Matt Aden - Omaha
1993 - Eric Anderson - Lincoln
1993 - Fred Pollock - Omaha
1993 - John Zatechka - Lincoln

1994 - Ted Butler - Lincoln
1995 - Ahman Green - Omaha
1995 - Adam Julch - Omaha
1995 - Aaron Wills - Omaha

11 starters.

How about 1978-1982 (we averaged giving 26 scholarships a year):

1978 - Steve Damkroger - Lincoln
1978 - Kurt Glathar - Lincoln
1978 - Mike Meyer - Omaha
1978 - Dave Rimmington - Omaha
1979 - Craig Holman - Omaha
1979 - Mike Keeler - Omaha
1979 - Dan Schmuecker - Omaha
1979 - John Sherlock - Omaha
1980 - Pete Hill - Omaha
1980 - Chris Kunst - Omaha
1980 - Craig Sundberg - Lincoln
1980 - Mark Traynowicz - Omaha
1980 - Bill Weber - Lincoln

1981 - Kevin Cole - Lincoln
1981 - Todd Fisher - Omaha
1981 - John Hayes - Omaha
1981 - Sam Madison - Omaha
1981 - Jim Skow - Omaha
1981 - John White - Lincoln
1981 - Dan Wingard - Omaha
1982 - Bob Bowen - Omaha
1982 - Pernell Gatson - Omaha
1982 - Tony Holloway - Omaha
1982 - Brad Johnson - Omaha

9 starters.

Just look at all of the great players from Lincoln and Omaha. They have to still be there. These cities are larger then they were in the 80s and 90s. This IMO is a change in direction that has blown up in our face.
