I know I don’t post on here often, so my thoughts might not hold much merit with you guys. But next weeks game to me will show if we keep Riley or if he’s gone. If he can keep it close vs OSU and finish off the season with wins vs NW, IA, MINN, and PUR and doesn’t get totally blown out at PSU, I think he deserves a chance to come back next year. I do think Cav needs to go. I also think our strength and conditioning coordinator needs to go. We got plain out muscled and out worked in the 2nd half.
Now, if we finish 6-6 or worse, and OSU, PSU, and another game are blowouts, then I think he needs to go. But I really do question whether Frost is the best man for this job. I know he’s destroying teams at UCF, but didn’t we try this offense with Pelini? Plus, that would involve another scheme change and another rebuild for Frost to get his players. Plus this recruiting class I think would crumble.
A coaching name no one is throwing around and I know I’m going to take heat for this, but why not Mike Leach? That guy just wins. And he never has top talent. He develops players a lot better than Riley and his offenses are mostly unstoppable. With the right D coordinator, I think he could turn Nebraska into a juggernaut. Just my thoughts tho.
