People don't say weed is as bad as coke because it isnt. Salaam was likely self medicating as many do with booze to cover up other problems.
Wasn't he the guy that played 8 man football in high school out in California? At any rate, very sad to see someone go that young. I remember watching him against the Huskers and he was a great player.

Don't speak facts to LiberalHunter!! He believes in what he heard somewhere else.By any objective measure, marijuana is not as destructive as cocaine. Also, marijuana has various well established medicinal benefits as more than half the states have recognized and provided by law.

Then by all means, smoke up.
I'm to drunk to read this now, maybe later. No they will not. Stoners generally have all the answers though.
Understanding that weed is on par with booze, or perhaps less harmful, does not mean it can't be abused. And people with problems can habituate to it to avoid dealing with those problems. But it also therapeutic benefits.Same as people can be addicted to alcohol. And pain killers. But again LiberalHunter is not only a chief economist he's also a surgeon general who also feels by his gut because of a guy who killed himself that marijuana is the same as coke. LOL.

Unless your one of the people that become a depressed paranoid schizophrenic from "weed"......then you go out and commit suicide or worse yet go postal on innocent people. Granted the percentage is fairly low but it does happen.People don't say weed is as bad as coke because it isnt. Salaam was likely self medicating as many do with booze to cover up other problems.
And RIP Rashaan. Sad that people are using his death as a springboard to politics.
The only possible benefit from "weed" for epilepsy is a lessening of the anxiety associated with having epilepsy. There have been no refereed scientific articles proving the efficacy of "weed" for any of the conditions you list. None. There are legal drugs for treating all of those conditions. If I had Parkinsons disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, glaucoma, cancer, Crohn's disease, wasting syndrome, or PTSD, I definitely would use marijuana. All of these have been proven effective for symptoms and approved for legal use. My nephew suffers from epileptic seizures and marijuana has been a life saver.
There are risks from the use of nearly all substances. I am sure someone has done something violent while under the influence of alcohol since this thread was open. The risk associated with pot is on par with that of alcohol, if not less so. Use in moderation by most folks in the population is fine, overuse will lead to problems, and some obviously should avoid use for various reasons. I do not think this is a radical conclusion.Unless your one of the people that become a depressed paranoid schizophrenic from "weed"......then you go out and commit suicide or worse yet go postal on innocent people. Promoting the idea that pot is harmless is irresponsible at best. Frequent inhalation of smoke from anything let alone a member of the ragweed family is damaging to your lungs. Chronic lung irritation can lead to things like bronchitis, asthma and yes cancer. Many of the people that have been trying to get rid of tobacco for years are now promoting weed as harmless. It's just not true. On top of that, there have been MULTIPLE articles published linking marijuana to brain damage when used over an extended period of time. There are risks from the use of nearly all substances. My sister has been hooked on it for years, you should hear her talk today compared to 20 years ago. It can and will mess you up, just like any other drug.Promoting the idea that pot is harmless is irresponsible at best.
