Here is how I would rank the new coaches in 2015 so far.
1) Harbaugh - Michigan Right now Mich. looks really good and an opening loss to Utah doesn't look bad now big game vs MSU this week will tell if they are for real.
2) McElwain - Florida 6-0 with a nice win over Ole Miss, losing QB will hurt 3 big games left on schedule vs LSU, Georgia and FSU
3) Herman - Houston 5-0 and ranked #24, remaining schedule sets up nicely of UH to finish with maybe 9 or 10 wins
4) Narduzzi - Pitt 4-1 with a close loss at Iowa, lost top RB Conner, a nice win @ Va. Tech tough back end of schedule with games vs Geo Tech, ND, Duke and Miami
5) Montgomery - Tulsa 3-2 already more wins than 2014 (2-10) and competitive in losses vs Oklahoma and Houston
6) Chryst - Wisconsin Losses to Bama and Iowa, win at Nebraska without Clement and remaining schedule is manageable final two games of the season vs NW and Minn. will tell a lot about team.
7) Sancez - UNLV High school coach already matched 2014 win total and won rivalry game vs Nevada
8) Morris - SMU Record is only 1-5 but vastly improved on offense 30.8 ppg games vs Baylor, TCU & Houston already. Probably a couple years away from turnaround.
9) Riley- Nebraska 2-4 Offense looked good in early games, but close losses due to penalties and game mismanagement rush defense is much improved needs 4 wins to get to a bowl.
10) Bobo - CSU 2-4 with losses to Minnesota, CU, Utah St. and Boise, schedule gets easier should get to a bowl game
11) Andersen - OSU 2-3 they did manage to score on Michigan, but got pounded by Stanford and Arizona playing with a True Frosh at QB is tough
12) Leipold - Buffalo 2-3 so far with MAC teams coming up on the schedule, 109-6 in 8 seasons at Wis Whitewater, should get better
13) Bonamego - CMU 2-4 with games already vs Ok State and Mich State they are 5-0 ATS but look competitive in the MAC
14) Brown - Troy 1-4 but Troy was in a bad place, he has no HC experience so will be a trial by fire.
15) Beaty - Kansas 0-5 and could be the worst FBS team in the country and he may be in over his head in the Big 12.
*) Cubit - Illinois Not a new hire, but I added him as Beckman was canned before the start of the season. 4-2 right now may be tough to get 2 more wins to get to a bowl, but I would guess that Illinois retains him as head coach.
Just my thoughts so far.
