I didn't catch most of the Jets game tonight because I was at the Husker dinner at St. Bernadettes. I caught the end of the game when I got home. Quincy had another really good game and had 92 yards receiving. I am watching the NFL channel postgame, and Michael Irvin totally has a mancrush on the dude. I never really liked Irvin when he played, but respect him a lot as a very good NFL receiver. I still remember him destroying Eric Crouch when Crouch said as a rookie in preseason that he learned to play the receiver position in the few months he had to prepare for the NFL. Irvin lost him mind when he said that. Irvin on the other hand has nothing but great things to say about Enunwa. Well done sir.

I said when he played for us his senior year that he was the best all around player we had on the team. He could have been successful at positions on either side of the ball and depending on what kind of weight he carried at maybe a couple of different positions on both sides of the ball. Very good tackler the little bit we got to see it. Very physical guy with the right kind of work ethic and attitude to make it in the NFL. He was the kind of WRer that IF he was out with and injury you knew he was really hurt.

I didn't watch much of the game, but it sounds like he's taken the pass catching tight end role although he rarely if ever lines up next to a tackle. More of an H-back. Definitely getting a ton of mismatches with safeties and linebackers covering him. Glad to see the kid do well. Playing with another unheralded former Husker in Brent Qvale.

It's kind of interesting to me how some of the guys that had a very mediocre college career under the last coaching regime have blossomed in the NFL now. Clearly at least early on we had more talent on the roster than it appeared by the results. Heck Damien Stafford is still in the NFL and he had trouble getting on the field at times in college.

I think it was more of a development and a lack of distinguishing the right players.

Made watching a game I wouldn't normally have, interesting. Tuned in, saw him make a few catches, and kept watching. I honestly didn't even know he was on the Jets.

Quincy was a beast his senior year - has an NFL body - the question was if he had the speed to get separation. Jets have found a way to get match-ups that make Q effective (and they have 2 other good WRs....so that is a big factor).

Michael Irvin was a great NFL receiver...they didn't call him "The Playmaker" cause it sounded good.

I always wondered why people never gave Q the credit as a husker but yet gave Kenny Bell the credit. Remember QE crying about fans and the pressure to win in Lincoln? No, I don't either. Kid brought his lunch pail every and was always great to the fans. Not surprised he's in the NFL getting praise from 2 amazing NFL receivers (Marshall & Decker) & K-Bell is jobless.

Oh yeah right Spinner...lot's of assumptions in your post above. Their success has nothing to do with their thoughts on fans. Kenny Bell is such a scapecoat for some people hating the players. So stupid. We fans are nuts here (mostly in a good way) but we cross the line and "F the players" for pointing it out. No. I agree criticism comes with the territory but KB bashing is a such a joke....dude was a stud and played his @ss off here. Give it a rest.

The point spinner was making, and I think it's valid, is Quincy never complained about anything. He just came to work and did what he was supposed to do. No jaw flapping or anything. He too worked his butt off. Where did spinner attribute success or failure to thoughts on fans? I don't see that anywhere in his post.

KB worked his butt off also, but also flapped his jaws, which rubbed some people the wrong way.

Now, in your opinion, who do you think will be less of a lightning rod in the eyes of the fans?

Exactly Timnsun. Just saying it's not a coincidence that the more positive WR out of the 2 made the league. Kenny probably had better raw talent then Quincy honestly. I love the hell out of Enunwa. He's honestly one of my favorite players in the Bo area. Never herd him place blame on anyone but himself. Bo always said "point the thumb not the finger" but Bo never lived that. Quincy lives that. Very proud of him. I could give zero F's about K-Bell.

And you think Huskers fans are bad? Jet fans are pretty freaking bad. QE takes it all in stride.

Kind of reminds me of the Texas game at home in 2010 when we had about 200 dropped passes. Niles Paul had a bunch, Rex had a couple (including a would-be TD or at least a deep pass to inside the 5). Niles caught a ton of crap from fans, Rex didn't, and people wondered why. Most said it was because Niles had been running his mouth quite a bit, while Rex wasn't.
