I keep seeing thread after thread about whether Bo left the cupboard bare and if we are suffering from a lack of depth. My question for anyone who would like to comment is what would our record have been this year if Ameer Abdullah was still on the team. While I agree that we suffered from depth issues this year I think Ameer covered up the same issues last year.

In my opinion, if Ameer was still on the team, we likely beat BYU, Miami, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Northwestern. That only leaves Purdue and Iowa which also, after the fact, look like likely wins with Ameer on the field. So absent questionable coaching decisions would we be undefeated with Ameer on the team?

True AA covered up alot of weaknesses. A difference making back would have made things much different this year, as would have a difference maker at QB.

This year was the flip side of the last few. We were again among the country's worst at turnovers, and this time we didn't escape with a nine win record. Compare the records of the past few years to the number of turnovers, and you'll see that most teams in our "turnover neighborhood" did worse than us record wise. This year our neighbors in turnovers are Rice(5-7), Wake Forest(3-9), Eastern Michigan(1-11), Miami(OH)(3-9), Cincinnati(7-5), Louisiana Monroe(1-11), Maryland(3-9), UCF(0-12), and Hawaii(3-10). Coaching hasn't solved this. Yet.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but it still would've taken the coaches allowing AA to play(pass block skills?) & then to call his number. 1 back cannot make up for the stupid clock management & poor situation play calling of this staff.
