I was thinking the fact that they went after Howard, Lincoln already knows that Nelson isn’t close to ready to play. Riley cares absolutely zero about star ranking, hype or how old you are. If you’re good, you will play. If your not, you won’t play.

Remeber Lincoln’s first year in Norman he sat Former Sugar Bowl MVP Trevor Knight for walk-on Baker Mayfield. Also sat Rattler for Williams when Rattler was the preseason front runner for Heisman. I take this move to mean kid ain’t got the goods or at least not yet

Yeah, smart for him. If douche Riley brings in Howard as it seems will happen, then why stay if you’re Nelson. He should get the chance to have that job as a RS frosh. He was a top 3 QB in the country.
