PSU/Nebraska

I've watched a lot of college basketball this year, and that was one of the worst crapfests I've seen to date. An absolute clusterf--- from start to finish.

Juice box for Evan Taylor, who at least showed up.

They looked less prepared today than they did early in the year.

Eichorst, you FKING IDIOT!! Just tweeted that Miles will be around for another year of piss-poor basketball.

12 wins is the benchmark for Nebrasketball according to SE. Anything over that is just icing on the cake. As long as we don't drop 20 games Timmy ain't going anywhere.
That's what the tradition coalition wants. And in this single case, I agree.
Now... can we work on an extension for the AD? How can he possibly do anything when he isn't promised 5 years?

Hate to say it, but I'm not the least bit surprised by this announcement. Hopefully a ball-handler and a couple of shooters will appear out of thin air and some of this year's players will vastly improve. Otherwise the goal posts will have to be dug up and moved again next year.

NU hoops is such a sh*t-show. Honestly, can you think of a more embarrassing sports franchise in America, at any level? Maybe there is, but it is not immediately obvious.

The rumor mill before the game was that we had a better chances of keeping the core group around IF Miles is fired. So Miles better start re-recruiting some of his players if true. This offseason will be interesting.

Didn't watch today's game because of work but previous games I've watched it's one thing to be bad offensisivly but then to be running around like you don't know what's happening defensively is perplexing.
But what do I know.

Did Eichorst get the memo ?

Miles told Rosenthal he knew he was back before the game, and knew Eichorst would be making a statement.

Have you been asleep for the last 3 years?

Instead of answering a question you posed a question?
What have you been doing the last 3 years? Do you even go to the games at Pinn Bank? Like I said earlier, just curious...
You always seem mighty confident, but just like your Taylor Martinez avatar, your comments are not exactly on the mark. Can you just answer a simple question?

Wow I thought the foul on NU with :35 to play was really weak. Then the same guy gets mugged with :03 to play, and they don't call it. Gotta love Big Ten officiating.
I've seen better officiating at a yard sale, if anyone of the BIG refs officiate in the NCAA Tournament the NCAA is useless.

I'm anxiously awaiting the funny tweet announcing what young talent is leaving.

big ten officiating is the worst of em.
I was wondering what took so long. Way to not disappoint.

This game was an ugly display of what is supposed to be basketball, and the officials had nothing to do with it. In every close game people will disagree with calls. But I watched the whole game (haven't watched many this year) and the officiating had very little to do with it.

I would have to agree with this. I think Big Ten officiating leaves a lot to be desired, but in this game the refs easily out-performed the other two teams that were on the court.

At some point I'll bet they wished they could have morphed into boxing referees and declared it a No Contest.

I know in ugly games like this, you walk into the locker room and just shake your head. Every officials hopes to help the game develop into a flow where the players play clean, marginal calls/no calls are matched on both ends, turnovers are low and the ball goes in the basket. Makes the game so much easier when their is a flow. In games like this, there are so many more decisions you have to make than in the games where there is good flow.

Penn State must have left it all in the court in yesterday's epic tilt vs. the Huskers. They are getting their asses handed to them by the shockingly young Spartans.

We have a few youngsters with maybe the most talent we've had in years. Michigan has better young talent than we do. Period. There is a ton more basketball tradition at Michigan than there is at NU which makes their job much easier.

That was exactly my point. Had nothing to do with the game. You just wanted to make sure everyone knows that you think the refs suck.

I just stated that Big Ten refs had no impact on the game, so you stating that the refs suck, just sort of in general, is an mental midget comment. You can't handle reffing in general so much that you have to get it off your chest at every opportunity.

Dude is nothing more than an apologist. He has bought the brain washing of "always cover for another ref". In his mind he thinks that's the way it should be.
