Pretty cool of Riley to throw Armstrong under the bus.

Langdorf & MR both said it was a bootleg all the way. TA wasn't supposed to throw it. Tommy really messed up. For a junior with his experience why he threw it was beyond stupid. He could have stayed in bounds and ran another 40 seconds off the clock.

+1 .... for all the criticism the coaches are getting and they deserve much, that 3rd down play was on TA

we had 2 timeouts left, I guess the coaches should have called timeout to tell TA "listen we are calling a running play, whatever you do don't throw the ball"

They then should have taken a second timeout ... "we really mean it ... don't throw the ball"

on every third down play the coaches should also designate a player to run into the huddle to tell Tommy not to punt the ball

our third year starter at QB too frequently becomes absolutely paralyzed when it comes to decision making at crucial times

Simple hand off game over...save your breathe.

Secondly. .you're a garbage coach if you throw your kids under Bus for a game you mismanaged.
.What you don't understand is the game should have never come to that.

this was even a safer play than a simple handoff ... the QB was to keep it .... no chance of a messed up exchange with the RB

or the guard stepping on the QBs foot messing up the exchange and causing a fumble

did people see what happened to Wisconsin on the one yard line going in for the winning score when a simple handoff was called

Saying like it is is not throwing anybody under the bus.
What is wrong with some of you?

I am more dissapointed by this board than the game.

F all of you who come out the woodwork like cockroaches when the lights go off.
This board is filled with cockroaches.
It's been bad for awhile now to be honest. I took some time off and came back with a new name and it's been brutal ever since.
At least the season will be "interesting".

If it's the truth, then what's the problem. If you call a run and the QB throws it, there isn't a hell of a lot you can do about it. Everyone is complaining about "why didn't they run it" -- we'll they called a run and the supposed best QB in the west, threw it instead --- get it?

You shouldn't put a college kid in a position that his can occur. These coaches should know better. How about a direct snap to jankovitch.

I guess it's not as easy to be the nice guy when the pressure is on
T.O. regularly spoke of 'not executing' when we didn't play well. Never heard the 'throwing under the bus' complaint. In fact, when he would say, "offensively, we just didn't execute"... he must have been throwing all eleven under the bus. OR...he was just telling the truth (and not calling out individual players, by the way).

they should have called a pass play and told Tommy not to take a sack knowing full well, with that info, Tommy would have taken a sack

Warren Buffett says criticize by group and praise by individual. Maybe that is what Tom was doing. Never heard him go after an individual player. He took a lot of blame himself. Every loss was his fault and he hurt. I felt so for him when we lost to Florida St in the Fiesta Bowl. Never saw a coach hurt so bad or blame himself so much when a player made an illegal pre snap shift at the end of the game that likely cost us the game.
