Nebraska has four girls ranked in the top 100 players. At #55 was Megan Miller (Libero 5-5). Capri Davis is a 6-1 Outside Hitter ranked nationally at #21. At the #10 slot was Callie Schwarzenbach. She is a 6-5 Middle Blocker. And lastly the #4 ranked player was Setter Nicklin Hames. She is 5-11 and the nation's highest ranked setter. A very well balanced class. Each position has a ranked player. Right now Nebraska has four recruits in its 2018 class. I think Nebraska will have the number two ranked class for 2018.
Penn State, I think will have the number one ranked class. PSU has 6 ranked players in the top 100. They have one libero at #31. Two setters at #14 and #28. The number 14 player could play right side too. PSU has three middle blockers ranked at #56, #5 and #3. I wonder if PSU converts any of the middle blockers to outside hitter. I guess they will since they graduate two outside hitters. Most ranked players but imbalance is obvious.
The number one player is 6-4 OH, Thayer Hall who is committed to Florida. The gators have 4 ranked players. ( numbers 1, 24, 25, and 58 ). I think Florida ends up number 3. Other higher ranked classes will be Oregon, North Carolina and Washington. Nebraska in 2019 could contend for the number one class in recruiting. They have 3 verbals I believe. To get to number one Nebraska would need one more highly ranked recruit. They will have two outside hitters ranked very highly. The verbal committed libero is iffy right now. I don't know why except she has some family issues apparently. The 2020 and 2021 classes are off to good starts. Things are looking really good for the future of Husker volleyball. GBR
