A few practice observations I thought I would pass along to the board. I'm sure some of this stuff has been discussed on here, but not sure as I don't frequent the board much in the off-season.

Our quarterbacks are looking very very good and we'll have 2 good QBs this year that understand the system and don't miss anything. Lee has all but locked up the starting spot, but POB will me a very good back-up with little to no drop-off if he were to enter the game. Lee has a quicker release on the ball and POD is more methodical with his throws, but both very accurate and have good understands of the offense and reads. First time in 8 years we'll have a QB playing the position that understands the job duties.

Look for guys like Conor Young #31 and JD Spielman #10 to see significant playing time at WR this year. They've both made a ton of plays and coaches have certainly taken notice. Young is everywhere on the field and catches everything. Look for him to be a 3 or 4 WR this year behind Morgan, DPE, etc. that has a big year. WR position is in great shape and very deep even after losing guys like Westercamp and Reilly. Morgan is a monster and has been tearing up defenses all Spring. Several nice catches in tight space this Spring by Morgan with long runs with incredibly accurate passes by our QB duo.

Offensive Line is currently hot garbage and Cav is working to find the 5 best guys to be out there. The line will be by far our biggest concern going into the season and according to my source that attends all practices, is the only thing holding us back from being a "middle-of-the-pack" type program to "elite" in his opinion based on what he's seen. Nothing really earth shattering to report here, but appears to be a significant taken drop-off at the OL position this year. We have some younger guys that could be good later on, but overall this is a big big talent gap at OL between us and elite programs across the country.

Probably discussed on here, but Diaco is worth every penny that we're paying him. He is everywhere on the field and coaching multiple position groups on a single play somehow. He has a Rain Man type understanding of defense and how it should work and won't settle for anything but the results he's coaching for. Players coach and everyone loves working hard for him. The LB group and secondary group seem to be playing at a higher level and my friend can't tell if they've become faster, or are quicker on their reads and seeing the play develop much sooner than a year ago.

Lamar Jackson is playing out of his mind right now and having a very big Spring. He's playing with a lot of confidence and appears to be in peak physical and mental shape to have a big year.

Yesterday in practice we ran the Oklahoma Drill for a portion of practice with a ball carrier and 3 OL versus 3 DL going at it. Fight broke out between the offense and defense and things got heated. Riley stepped in and got everyone back in line after making the whole group do "Up Downs" for letting a fight break out.

Thanks guys.
