My cousin saw a guy in the cashier line in Vegas... very late and my cousin was leaving a Phish show. Several people came up and asked the guy for autographs. He finally walks up to the guy, who has a group with him and says, '...should I know you?'... and the guy just shrugs and says, '... I don't know...' and he asks him his name, and he says, 'Dale Earnhardt Jr.'

My cousin said, '...look, I had been at a phish show, it was the middle of the night, and I was not a jerk, but not sober... and he just matter-of-fact was nice to everyone who came up to him and didn't call me out for the idiot I was...'

Personally, I have been to a number of NASCAR races and have seen the swarms of people that attend them - and know people that are there every week as part of their jobs - and to a person, NONE of them has a bad word to say about him.

They say, '...the dude gets swarmed every weekend, and NOBODY is nicer to every person he deals with than Jr...'

After all of the athlete/celebrity bashing, seems like we should post some good experiences.
