You read about programs where elite players opt out of Bowl games due to NFL etc and it hurts the team, most of these portal players from NE were contributors
Early enrollee HS recruits can practice with the team on campus, which is interesting.
Gbayor, Butler, Princewill and Williams and we have promising young players who will get a chance to play in their spots. Not all bad. Going to be some young dudes on the field.
Wouldn't mind playing BC in the bowl game now that their QB Castellanos has entered the portal and appears on his way to Auburn. He was a QB that is dual threat and could have caused problems.
Miller Moss and Chubba a couple of QB's entering the portal. One notable, the other the brother of an NFL QB.

Bowl game does not count as a game for redshirts too. So if someone had played the maximum they can still play.
Lost in this panic is the factor that other teams are suffering portal losses as well.
I'm sure he's thinking anywhere but Nevada. Their O line was a sieve and the whole team was a mess. He needs to see if Stanford will give him a scholarship to hold a clip board so he can get a masters degree from there.
Doesn't matter if Castellanos goes to Kearney State, he is exactly where we want him and that is off their roster.
Teams will literally need GMs for this stuff going forward. Its crazy.

It's a total crapshoot. You are rolling the dice on kids nowadays with the money being thrown around.
Example: We sign Lateef at QB. So year 1 he sits behind Dylan and maybe HH. Who's to say the heir apparent at QB is gonna stick around another year before Dylan declares and when Dylan's little brother shows up?
He could be a 4* kid who plays here 2 years and never gets a meaningful snap but there will be programs out there looking for his skill set. In that case, we've spent 2 years and nothing to show for it.
I think in the years going forward coaching is gonna be everything. The great ones will continue to patch strong squads together because they win a lot, and the average to below average coaches will drown.
