If they win Saturday who knows what the ceiling is going forward?
If they lose I only see wins against UCLA and Wisconsin as those are home games.

Iowa will be going down. Last year was the last time we lose to Iowa for the foreseeable future. If they win Saturday who knows what the ceiling is going forward?

I want that to happen probably more than anyone on this board. Half of my family are Hawkeye fans and I have to hear every year about how great KKKirk is, and how he’s worth every penny of that 7 million.Iowa will be going down. I agree. We are a 5 win team until we aren't.We can certainly beat any team not named Ohio State. But that's been the case for years now. Until we actually prove that we can beat a rated team, especially on the road I had a hard time picking any of these games as guaranteed wins.
My best guess is 1 to 2 wins. UCLA and then maybe Iowa or Wisconsin.
Best case is actually 11, but I don't see that happening. You think we only win one of the three toss ups Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin? Honestly think we can win all those games so realistically the bast case would legitamitely be 9. I don't think it is out of the question to think we win those game IMOBest case, 7 wins . We can't run the ball when we need to. Maybe someday we will get a real offensive line, and finally turn the corner.
Is getting to 6 wins and bowl eligible the big goal or is it the minimum bar needed to show progress? IMO its the latter. And I think many fans, not just some, are going to be questioning how successful the season was if we finish with another swan dive like last year.Yes, it has improved. Some will be irate if we go 1-5 in the 2nd half of season but if we are in a bowl game why be upset? That was the big goal.
