Let's hope that Stanley Morgan Jr. has a monster year. And if he does, let's say the "experts" project he'll be a 2nd round draft pick.
Let's also say that Nebraska goes 7-5 or 6-6 and makes a bowl. Would you be ok if Stanley Morgan Jr. sat out the bowl game?
I'm not suggesting he would do such a thing. It just seems to be a practice that is about to become more and more common among players that know they will get drafted...and who's team is playing in a bowl game that has no significant meaning.
On one hand, I'd want Nebraska to win the game. Stanley Morgan Jr., gives Nebraska the best chance to win. On the other hand, I would understand the unreasonable risk and also wouldn't mind Morgan's 2019 replacement getting the reps in practice for 3 weeks.
I don't think Frost and Co. would like it. My heart says that I would be annoyed with it. My brain understands the reasoning behind sitting out the game.
What say you scrolls? Something to talk about on a boring June Tuesday.
