Totally depends on how you spin it...Barry Switzer used it as a cry for help for top notch players, its' all about selling your program the right way with each kid.

wow, the votes are pretty spread out.
Losing two heartbreakers don't matter nearly as much as having your coach act like a complete jackass and getting blown out by 50 do. Pretty easy to say, all we need is ONE guy and we think you might be that guy.

Tennessee has been rolling in top classes and they have lost a lot on tv the past few years. Recruiting to Nebraska has some challenges...but it isn't as hard as Bo made it look.

Depends on how regularly you lose on national TV. It has to hurt some, but a lot of factors go into the kids' and their families' decisions.

4.6.3 is right. With every game on TV now, plus YouTube and other video services, every moment, good, bad or ugly, is out there to be seen. Media spin may have more impact on recruiting than the actual games.

4.6.3 is exactly right.
Everbody on TV, and half of them lose.
Even in the losses so far this year, Riley and NU put a pretty good foot forward for parents looking for a place they can feel comfortable sending their son to play football. The only negative I take out of what I've seen this year was Alex Lewis's social media brain fart and that was understandable and forgivable. If nothing else the commentators have talked quite a bit about how little depth we have at key positions and that has to be attractive for a kid that wants to play early there.
