As I watched the game tonight and all the games today plus some high school ball, I've noticed the common celebration of the jump and bump mid air stuff. The same thing that DPE ending his season doing last year.
I started to wonder, if football is all about player saftey and trying to install rules to ensure player saftey, then shouldn't this celebration be flagged. You see it happen where guys come down wrong and blow out a knee or roll an ankle. If your gonna flag ZD for spinning the football after a score or flag a guy for spiking the ball but let them run and jump up and collide with each other and potentially come down wrong and severely hurt themselves.
Just seems like a good idea to me especially being a coach. Everytime I see our kids do this it makes me cringe that they will come down wrong and be hurt for no reason.
Funny thing is when you watch the sights and sounds video before the game, you notice DPE catches a TD bomb in pre game and then run and jumps up agaisnt a teammate in celebration. Makes you wonder "why DPE" why do that again on a knee that could go again.
