Don't know if it's already been discussed but did anyone notice on the early play where their qb ran for a touchdown, one of our defensive backs came off a block and ran the opposite direction. He must have had absolutely no idea where the ball was. That play was bankers defense at its finest.

Two other banker specials were both incomplete passes because the Purdue qb sucked. Where a d back was running with a receiver on a deep ball and just fell down with no play on the receiver or the ball. The other where our safety came over on a deep ball and ran into the covering defensive back. Those both should have been Purdue touchdowns.

I refuse to believe we have the worst defensive backs in the country. What we do have is the worst defensive coordinator in the country.

We saw this all the time under Cosgrove. Players eyes are strictly on their man and not in the backfield. And yes I agree....not sure Banker is the worst but he is pretty horrible.

If I ever and I mean ever see some smart azz comment about a slow white guy, this will be exhibit A

Followed by a snap shot of northwestern qb streaking down the sidelines....

Yes. Unfortunately, this happens time and time again. Zero awareness of the ball by anyone in the backfield.
