What do you guys have going on?

Right now me and some friends are planning to leave Omaha around 8:30am and hit up the bars in Lincoln. Maybe stop by one tailgate.

Each year the Rail Yard has been opened I have noticed less traffic at the bars on O street.

Any of you guys going to Lincoln?

Sports bar?

Watch Party?

The neighborhood dads come to my basement - theater, pool table with another TV. The wives are drinking high noons upstairs at the kitchen bar and all the kids are in the den playing fornite.

Crazy that I look forward to this considering I spent my 20s and 30s drunk AF.

Don't drink anymore but I'll probably have a couple cigarettes and pick up trash as it goes so I don't have a monumental job the next day or even worse, that evening.

Crush some heaters outside the mancave...nice!!!

Time for the annual boys golf trip. Will be finishing the round as quickly as possible, to go sit and watch the big screen at the new outdoor pool area at firekeeper/prairieband casino.

You guys might crucify me for this, but not sure I'll watch. Forgot about this until today, but I think we're going to Minnesota for the weekend and to see my son at college. I think (and this is the crucify part) we might be at the Minnesota state fair on Saturday. Hey, it's UTEP - and I'll watch it later.

Hahaha!

While I totally get that things come up, family stuff, weddings, stuff like that.

We get 12 of these a year and you pretty much know the time and date well in advance.

I will never be a "OH MY GOD, you have your wedding during a Husker game!" If anything, that can sometimes add a lot of fun to it.

But to not even know if you are going to get to watch it??? Ouchers

Ribs. Possibly some pork belly burnt ends. A couple mojitos? First season with the 77" OLED in the basement.

Nah, this is just me deciding to do something else on Labor Day weekend. I decided 4-5 years ago I wasn't going to live my life pissed off every Saturday in the fall. I obviously watch every game, but if I have an opportunity to do something fun I'm not going to sit at home screaming at the TV. I wouldn't do this if it was a bigger game.

Actually going to Santa Barbara for the weekend so have to find a place there to watch the game… but should be fun

Found a pack of American Spirits in the tool box out in the garage. Still in the plastic
Oh my god...Those are only 3.50 a pack NOW...when you got them they must have been like 43 cents a pack.

I get that...

I stopped getting as worked up over the games awhile ago. Now it is more of just a chance to hangout with friends, rip on each other, drink beers, tell stories. Walk around campus if we are down in Lincoln. Basically just a day to act young again.

I'll be high in the East Stadium with a Runza in one hand and a tube of sunscreen in the other. That is assuming the concourse wifi works so I can make the cashless Runza purchase. If the wifi works this will be my first cashless purchase in Memorial Stadium. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

Not sure if getting high is the best approach with all the people could make for a bad trip

I moved back home to Florida. I lived down here when the college football universe bowed down to Nebraska. So I proclaim the curse to be over.

For game day, I will be 3 to 5 miles off shore hunting bugs in the morning. Then we will move around looking for Yellowtail and Mangrove Snapper. Back in time to clean & cook during pre-game.

Do you use the bugs for bait 🤔

I’ll be going hair-of-the-dog after getting a huge W Friday night with a computer in my lap breaking down film and passing out sometime during the game.

Then I’ll wake up at like 3am the next morning to gameplan and read some great things about our Huskers.

That course is a treat. Don’t rush through your round for football. Enjoy the scenery and watch the repeat of the game, if it’s worth watching.

I won’t be watching any games this year, so your situation is minor. String me up!!! 😂

Spoken like a true HS FB coach!

I can remember coaching Saturday morning games, which of course meant, happy hour on Friday which of course meant going out Friday night, showing up to school hungover but like, that fun hungover, coaching the game and then heading out with a few coaches to get drinks at 11am.

Do you coach at a school where you pretty much know which games you will win and lose right when you see your schedule?

I've played there several times. It's been a bad last couple of weeks. I'm ready to relax by the pool and watch some husker football.
